| I got my new uphonium today. It's awsome. Ms. Mitchel talked about it to the whole brass section. She said it was the best uphonium made. I might make varsity wrestling. There are 3 other people in my weight class. One signed up for 2 and he's the only person in the other one so he probably won't even try mine. Another one also signed up for another weight class and told me that he probably won't make mine. The third one signed up for another weight class and I heard he was bad. This saturday is my first full day off from doing anything for about a month. | | |
| Today I tried out for districts. I didn't make it. Maybe because I had to do the chromatic scale in as many octaves as possible and I thought we only had to do one. Or maybe because They gave scales I didn't know. I looked at next years district music and it's a lot harder.
I found the sheet music for the mario theme song. It's a lot tougher than I thought it'd be. I can't play it yet because the baritone I got from the school is in the shop. I borrowed Ms. Mitchells for the district try outs but she needed it this weekend. My parents are getting me a Yamaha 641, the same as Ms. Mitchells. I can't wait to get it. | | |
| Nothin much is happening. Courtney made state in cross country so a big congrats to her. I'm considering doing it next year because it might be good to actually be in shape before wrestling. Wrestling is probably the hardest sport when it comes to how hard we practice. There's a couple football players and they say football is nothing compared to wrestling. I don't know about cross country. But I doubt any sport like golf or tennis is harder because nobody's trying to beat the shit out of you in golf. | | |
